ESP8285

On April 18, 2016, the Internet of Things WIFI chip maker Lexin Technology released the industry's smallest IoT Wi-Fi chip ESP8285, which was repackaged with the previously widely used IOT WIFI chip ESP8266 and 1MByte Flash, still maintaining 5mm. 

The x 5mm area is pin-to-pin compatible with the ESP8266 and the software development SDK is consistent. 

Ideal for applications where the BOM area is very small, such as wearables such as smart watches. 

This product will be officially launched on April 25, 2016, 

In addition to the ESP8285, the new product includes ESP-WROOM-S2, an SPI interface module based on the ESP8266 chip. 

The SPI interface has a data throughput rate of up to 10 times the UART interface throughput and is suitable for applications that require higher speed transfer rates.
